  • Account & registration data: name, email, billing address, optional professional details confirming you are a dentist, and password.
  • Transaction data: order details, payment confirmations, refunds (payments are processed via our platform’s native checkout, e.g., Thinkific Payments).
  • Usage & technical data: IP address, device/browser info, cookies, page views, and course progress needed to deliver CE and verify completion.
  • Support & communications: messages you send to us (including complaints or refund requests).
  • User-submitted content (optional): if you upload examples/cases for discussion, you are responsible for removing any patient identifiers. Do not upload protected health information (PHI).

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe we have such data, contact us to delete it.

4) How We Use Information

  • Provide and administer your account and course access (typically 12 months).
  • Process payments and refunds.
  • Provide support and manage complaints/resolutions.
  • Maintain CE program records, issue verifications of participation, and meet audit requirements.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Services (fraud prevention, analytics, troubleshooting).

5) How We Share Information

  • Service providers: Platform, payment, email, and analytics vendors process data under our instructions to operate the Services (e.g., hosting, checkout, certificates).
  • Legal & compliance: We may disclose information to comply with laws, regulations, legal process, or enforce our terms, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of our Services.
  • Business transfers: If we enter into a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6) Record Retention for CE

To support continuing education administration and audit-readiness, we retain CE records (e.g., verification of participation, course completion, evaluations, relevant contact fields) for a minimum of six (6) years, consistent with our program policies. Some non-CE data may be retained longer if required by law, security, or dispute resolution.

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information we control. No system is perfectly secure; please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

8) Your Rights & Choices

For concerns related to our continuing education activities, you may also use our internal complaint process. Participants have the option to submit CE-related complaints to the ADA Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition (CCEPR) if they are unsatisfied with our resolution.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” above. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
